Cervical spine or neck is attached with the network of nerves, bones, joints and muscles that are controlled by brain. This cervical spine is designed for stability, strength and communication of nerves mechanical stress like strains or sprains can disturb this network and lead to pain of neck.
Major causes for the neck pain are as follows Inappropriate posture Your posture can also be responsible for the neck pain as the people have lifestyle or working pattern that they have to spend great proportion of the day in the posture of bent-forward then this continuous strain on tissues make them weak and increase the pain. Trauma Some major injuries or trauma can cause the neck pain. Some time in accidents people get injury in the neck or in the spine network so that cause the temporary or permanent pain of neck. Torticollis It is the condition of twisting of head in one side which could be painful. In such condition it becomes difficult for the person to move head or to take normal straight position. This condition is difficult to identify and even sometime in morning people get suffered from the position after waking up they find their head twisted. Spinal degeneration or cervical spondlysis Some time due to aging some degeneration of vertebrae and spinal discs may occur and that can lead to persistent neck pain. Radiculopathy It is the condition in which compression or damage to root of the nerve occurs and referred as pinched nerve. Cervical Radiculopathy involves the nerves in the neck region and that may lead to neck pain. Sometime person also observe the symptoms like tingling, sensation, numbness or weakness in the neck. These sensations can also lead to pain in arm with neck if the nerve is connected with it which is having sensations.
